Camp Overview
Camp Barney Medintz, established in 1963, is a vibrant Jewish overnight camp located on 540 acres (218 hectares) in the Blue Ridge mountains.
We are located in the southeastern United States, about an hour and a half north of Atlanta, Georgia, We have 1200+ campers, ages 7-17, and around 400 staff members from across the United States and from all over the world to join us for an unforgettable summer.
Our facility features 2 lakes, 2 pools, and a horse barn, offering a wide variety of activities for every interest. From water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, scuba diving, and water slides, to horseback riding, zip lines, climbing walls, ropes courses, backpacking, mountain biking, sports courts and fields (soccer, basketball, tennis...), music, theater, dance, arts and crafts, video production, cooking, photography, and much more!

Whether you are hired to be a summer counselor living with the campers or to run activities, you will receive extensive training to be confident in the positive impact you will have on the campers.

Staff Time Off
All staff receive one day off per week and two days off between the sessions,, as well as time off most evenings.
On days off we usually provide transportation to Atlanta.
